Winners!

Ladies and Gentlemen! We request you join us in applauding our winners of Valentine’s Day design contest. The Kings/Queens of romance are Deepa, Puneet, Pravin, and Vishal. Congrats!! Click here to check out the winning designs.

The designs created by them range from mushy to whacky ones. Our judges are bowled over by Deepa’s ‘Clean Bowled’ and ‘Being Single’ designs. Puneet’s ‘Stupid Strikes’ gave us all a good laugh, and Vishal’s design was a hot pick for all the singles who wanted to ooze attitude. But it was Pravin’s maze that kept us all busy, though none of us reached the centre and captured the heart. All these 5 designs were selected by our judges and won the designers Rs 1,000 each.

Apart from this there are ten designs that were selected by designers (these too win Rs. 1000 each). And, that’s not all people. There are 50 designs that have won consolation prize of Myntra personalized coffee mug (Rs.200 each).

Great news eh?? As for those who did not win, thy needth not be disappointed. We will be announcing our new contest soon. Keep checking out www.myntra.com for that.

Mighty Hearts!

Finally done with the Valentine’s Day and the design contest has come to an end. Sorting them out and selecting the good ones is giving the judges sleepless nights….Yes!! We got some very creative designs ranging from abstract hearts, to mushy, naughty, and crazy i-love-u designs….

Valentine’s Day really seems to have triggered people’s imagination (there were around 100 designs everyday). What with cupids striking all over the monitor, broken hearts oozing love and blood, whacky one liners with subtle hints…by Feb 14^th most of us were dreaming of hearts and mushy lines even in our sleep . The most entertaining ones were the designs that celebrated being single and also the designs that complained of being married- so much for Valentine’s Day… ;).

The other kind that won lots of votes was the innovative and colorful designs that proclaimed love…. However the disappointing aspect of the whole contest was that there were very few designs that portrayed love towards parents, or even friends for that matter. This sort of narrowed the whole idea to Valentine’s Day concept to couples or singles looking for partners…. Will this clichéd concept ever change??

So right now, there are bricks and bats being thrown around as to who should be crowned the king/queen of romance. So please don’t worry about the late announcement of the contest winner. It’s all done with the best intentions . May the best man/woman win.

Launching Myntra..

Okay, here it comes. We have been a week late in publishing this on our blog (courtesy the Valentine’s week), but I guess better late than never! We removed beta from our site on February 14 (it wasn’t a coincidence) and announced the official launch of our website this Valentine’s day. Reasons for this auspicious selection? We thought its better to have a big first birthday bash on Valentine’s Day, than sit alone and drink in the bar. Just kidding, we thought it would be the right time to celebrate by giving lots of discounts and goodies for our ever so loyal users at the time they need it the most

So here’s a toast for all you brave and loyal people who stood by us unperturbed by the ‘beta’ below our logo and bought something from our site. As for those who did get scared, we would urge you to come back and try us out. Your credit card details, netbanking passwords, list of girlfriends .. everything is safe in our hands

There is a lot more we can write about – our partners, astonishing growth, excellent feedback, thousands of cool designs, exciting things coming up blah blah .. but let’s keep all that for later. Today, there is just one thing we would like to say. We have arrived!
