We are just back from a fun filled outing to Breakthrough on Bannergettha road. It was an amazing trip and since a blog would not do justice to it, we decided to put in the highlights of the trip. Here you go:
The place: One look at the place and we decided that the drive in the mad Friday evening traffic from HSR Layout to Breakthrough was more than worth it. It was originally a brick factory and the same building done with real bricks has been retained with a huge chimney and is surrounded with such lush greenery.
The Gadhes: We were divided into 2 teams and were asked to name our teams. While one team called themselves the ever so loyal Mynties, we the lesser mortals called ourselves the Gadhes. Before you start doubting our mental abilities, let me make it clear that we (the Gadhes) won most of the games in the outing (4 out of 5 brainless games) while the Mynties won 3 games (2 brainy ones).
The bonfire, dance, and dumb charades: We had some great dance performances by Sourav and Sankar around the bonfire. It was so good that the few who had some thoughts of joining in decided otherwise. Sankar displayed his skill at belly dancing and won the title of ‘Mallika of Myntra’. Soon bored of the dance session we decided to play dumb charades which turned out to be the World war 3 with the teams accusing each other of cheating.
The save water cause: Since the place is environmental friendly, smoking and drinking is not allowed in the premises. I need to mention that the guys are all supporters of this cause and did not bathe throughout the trip (Friday evening to Saturday evening) to save water and lived on coffee, tea, and beer(smuggled into the rooms), thus saving more water.
Fun activities: These were truly the best. Be it the galli football games with the gals busy trying to dodge the guys rather than kick the ball, the walking on ropes, or swinging on tyres, all the activities were fun and also had concepts of teambuilding, will power, and so on in them. We also played a lot of Table tennis, volleyball, and carom.
The Gyaan session: Before we left, we were taken on top of a rock which had tree growing through it (thus the name ‘Break through’). We were all asked to recollect the games and key learnings of the activities which we all did very efficiently and in the process cleaned our minds, without leaving the traces of it.
So those were a few highlights of the trips, and heres a group photo. More coming up soon.
