Formula One, also known as Formula 1 or F1 is officially referred to as the FIA Formula One World Championship. F1 is the highest class of single seater auto racing sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The "formula" refers to a set of racing rules with which all participants' cars must comply. Each year the formula1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held on Formula One racing circuits and a select few public roads. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for the drivers - World Drivers' Championship (WDC) and one for the constructors - F1 World Constructors' Championship (WCC).Formula One cars race at high speeds of up to 360 kmph (220 mph) with F1 engine performances limited to a maximum of 18,000 rpm.
